Perodua or Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua for short is Malaysia’s second car brand. Unlike Proton which prioritizes comfort and the sedan segment as its car sales target, Perodua uses a different concept where Perodua prioritizes compact cars.
Perodua was established in 1992 to dominate the compact car market in Malaysia with the joint venture of a well -known Japanese automotive company, Daihatsu.

Perodua Turbo car
There are many foreign brand vehicles sold in Malaysia using turbo engines. In 2017 alone, we saw the Hyundai Elantra Sport with a 1.6-liter turbo engine capacity with 204ps engine tuning and 265Nm of torque (0-100km/h = 7.7 seconds) and a 1.5-liter 170hp Honda Civic Turbo (0-100km/h = 8.2 seconds).
If in the past turbo powered cars used a lot of gasoline but with the advancement of technology, turbo engines are more economical than non-aspirated (N/A) cars. It is not surprising that turbo cars are in high demand in the Malaysian market.
